Mission
 

The Technology Committee’s mission is to support the technology needs of the group – most often in relation to the PSG membership database, Yahoo group, and Camden PSG website.  Members of the committee may lead workshops on technology-related job search topics, such as an overview of LinkedIn.
 

Purpose
 

  1. When such expertise is available within the current membership of the committee, assistance with the PSG membership database may be provided in collaboration with the PSG Facilitator.

  2. Approve new members for the Camden PSG Yahoo group: “chpsg-network@yahoogroups.com.”

  3. Send invitations to and approve new members who are requesting to join the LinkedIn group for full members of PSG.

  4. Design and facilitate training workshops as needed and appropriate to advance understanding of computer-related job search tools such as LinkedIn.

  5. Maintain a reference library of files on the Yahoo Group website for the benefit of the membership and as a description of procedures and infrastructure for the ongoing activities of the group.

  6. Maintain the PSG website with current information as appropriate for each topic.


Meetings
 
The Technology committee meets on most Monday mornings (except for legal holidays) and immediately following the monthly mandatory meeting. After assisting the Membership Committee with processing new members into PSG during the New Member Orientation, the committee meets for discussion of topics and mutual support among members.
